Classics Come to Life

Fridaclassicsy, March 24
10am-2pm

Like macaroni and cheese, some things just naturally go together.  Today we celebrate literary friendships, and the strong bonds that these BFFs share with each other.  What would George be without the Man in the Yellow Hat?  Or how would Pete get along without Bill?

We encourage you to bring your best friend to the Museum to participate in multiple hands-on activities inspired by:

  • H.A Rey’s Curious GeorgeDSCF3498
  • Tomie DePaola’s Bill and Pete to the Rescue
  • James Marshall’s George and Martha:The Complete Stories of Two Best Friends

Enjoy quiet time in the book nook reading the staff’s very own favorite children’s books to uncover even more great stories!  You’ll make memories with your child, as you share your love of books and reading with them.  Child development experts tell us that reading to your child is the best way to build a life-time habit of reading for enjoyment and education. Start them young and have fun with your child as you enjoy this specially designed literacy program.

All activities are free with admission.
